The nature of therapy

My focus when working with young people, adolescents and adults, is to gain an understanding of how a person thinks, feels and behave and how these ways of being can cause distress, hold someone back in their lives or impact on personal wellbeing.

Sometimes these issues relate to past experiences, or a person's relationship to their self and sometimes, these issues can adversely affect current relationships, a sense of self-worth and identity and a sense of leading a fulfilling life.

Common Issues

Often, people tell me about issues they have concerning anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and grief. Sometimes they present with sleeping and eating troubles, physical health issues, low self-esteem and many other problems. My primary aim is to help you work through these difficulties and discover your inbuilt capacity to grow, evolve and develop.
